John, the damage the U.S. caused Haitian children and families **seeking safety** is heartbreaking.
In the past couple of weeks, the Biden administration has displaced thousands of people running from danger at the encampment in Del Rio and expelled them, detained them in ICE custody, or completely abandoned them.
Our partners at Haitian Bridge Alliance bore witness to U.S. militarization against Black toddlers, children, and their families.
They worked with Haitian migrants to get them the support they needed, while Biden and Abbott reacted with cruelty instead of compassion.
The Haitian Bridge Alliance is still ramping up pressure on Biden and helping families in desperate need by getting families food, transportation, and shelter.
You can step in and help The Haitian Bridge Alliance continue their efforts to get migrants the humanitarian aid they need by donating any amount of money directly to them:
It’s time for us to come together and fill in where our government is failing. It’s time to welcome children and families with the dignity and compassion they deserved from the start.

P.S. Our original email below
John, I just spoke with Guerline Jozef, President of our partner at the Haitian Bridge Alliance, who’s on the ground in Del Río, Texas where thousands of Haitian migrants made the treacherous journey in hope of a better future.
Guerline is one of the fiercest, most tireless and compassionate advocates I know. She is always working to provide humanitarian aid, legal support, emergency medical care, and translation services for children and families in need. And right now, Guerline needs the full force of our Families Belong Together team--she needs YOU.
Donate to the emergency fund for the Haitian Bridge Alliance to help Guerline and her team provide compassionate care to the thousands of Haitian migrants living in squalid conditions under a bridge in Del Río as they seek safety in the US. 100% of your support will go to the Haitian Bridge Alliance as they help families and children reach their final destinations, receive medical care, food, and water, and quite frankly--get out of this horrifying situation that’s playing out under the Biden administration.
Guerline is one of few who are in Del Río right now lending a lifeline to Haitian families and children. While border officers have been photographed on their literal high horses with what appear to be whips, corralling and intimidating desperate families the Biden administration has responded to the situation with cruelty and *expedited deportations.*
Guerline is doing what’s right and what our nation promised to those seeking asylum.
In the last 72 hours, Guerline has helped 25 families with young children find shelter at a hotel after she found them huddled at a gas station. She assisted another 130 people in one of the worst emergency situations she’s ever seen--even going as far as arranging an air-lift for a baby to receive care at an ICU in San Antonio.
If you’re like me, you’re not surprised that one person can do so much to help families and children. And if you’re like Guerline, you know you too can do something to make a difference, which is why I’m asking you to rush-in your most generous gift to this emergency fund to support the Haitian Bridge Alliance today.
Thanks for being with us, Guerline, and the Haitian Bridge Alliance at this horrifying time in our country’s history and doing your part to do the right thing.
