A deep dive into the true liberation of the gospel...

Dear John,

We are proud to announce that We Cry Justice: Reading the Bible with the Poor People's Campaign, edited by Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis with a Foreword by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, a revolutionary text that offers a unique perspective on some of the most radical passages in scripture, is available for pre-order now.

More than thirty contributors spanning different races, genders, geographic locations, professions, and more were brought together to do a deep dive into the true liberation of the gospel, and what it means for poor and low income people. This devotional breathes new life into familiar passages, and centers righteous justice and liberation for poor people as the primary lens through which the Bible is read.

We’re officially launching on October 12, but you can beat the crowds by pre-ordering today! We Cry Justice makes for a great read individually or amongst friends for Sunday school, Bible studies, or small groups. In the event you want to order multiple copies for sacred spaces, bookstores, or events, please reach out to our Communications Director Lauren ([email protected]) and we will be happy to accommodate.

Please plan to join us for the launch event of We Cry Justice on October 12th, either online or in person at The People’s Forum in New York City (RSVP required). Until then, there are many things we are doing to celebrate on social media-- and we want you to join us!

To take part in the celebration, you can do one or both of the following:

  1. Post your favorite excerpts from the book and use the hashtag #WeCryJustice to tell others about this work-- we already have some started here!
  2. Take a selfie and tag #PoorPeoplesCampaign to tell us how excited you are about We Cry Justice.

Thank you for celebrating our newest work with us and we look forward to seeing you at our launch event.

Forward together,

Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis
