On October 1, 2017, 58 people were killed and hundreds more were injured when a gunman opened fire on a crowded music festival.
As a community, we continue to stand together with strength and compassion as we remember the victims of this senseless act of violence.
No amount of thanks will ever be enough for the selfless members of law enforcement, first responders, medical professionals, and everyday citizens who rushed to provide help and safety in those terrible moments. We also continue to be grateful for the overwhelming national support for the victims and our mourning community in the wake of this tragedy.
Through our grief, we continue to work toward putting an end to gun violence in our state. And we will keep fighting to ensure that this never happens again.
To everyone who continues to feel the impact of this tragic day: We are standing with you. We are fighting for you. We will never forget.
In solidarity,
Steve Sisolak
