Dear John,
More than ever in 2021, we could all use a little inspiration.
So, on December 12 at 8pm ET/5pm PT, ADL will deliver just that, together with a lot of great music, and we invite you to join us from a front-row seat in your living room.
ADL In Concert Against Hate is a night of music, community and celebration packed with spectacular performances from acclaimed stars. Through storytelling and song, we’ll introduce you to real-life heroes and celebrate their extraordinary acts of courage and compassion in the face of bigotry and hate.
Last year’s fantastic event was hosted by Debra Messing, with moving musical performances from Adam Levine, Andra Day, Kenny Loggins, Jason Isbell, Aloe Blacc and more that lifted up our community.
But the real stars of the evening were our Honorees:
-
Gerda Weissmann Klein: a Holocaust survivor who has spent her life writing and teaching about the privilege and responsibility of American citizenship and sharing the healing power of optimism.
-
Team Brownsville: five Texas educators who saw the hardships and indignities endured by asylum seekers just across the border from their hometown of Brownsville, Texas and were moved to act.
-
Bellen Woodard: a nine-year-old Virginian who wondered why the “skin-colored” crayon had to mean “peach,” and challenged her peers with perception-changing conversations.
This year’s honorees, hosts and musical talent will be announced soon. To be the first to find out about the 2021 Concert lineup for 12/12, go to ConcertAgainstHate.org today and sign up to get updates about the big event.
Thank you for speaking up, sharing facts and showing strength as part of the ADL community.
