Friend,
Last night, progressives in the House blocked a vote on the narrow, bipartisan infrastructure deal, which would have taken away our leverage in passing President Biden’s 10-year $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act.
Together, in Washington, DC and across the country, we came together and showed the power of our movement. We will not allow a narrow set of corporate Democrats to dictate our people- and climate-centered agenda. We know that our agenda is extremely popular―especially when it’s 100% paid for by finally making the rich and corporations pay their fair share.
As negotiations continue today on Capitol Hill, will you rush a contribution to the Congressional Progressive Caucus to show progressives in Congress that you have our backs and that together, we will not stop fighting for the agenda the American people voted for last November?
What we’re fighting for is nothing short of our entire agenda. This is not the time for half measures.
The American people elected Joe Biden president and Democrats to Congress on the promise of addressing the climate crisis; expanding Medicare to include dental, hearing, and vision; lowering prescription drug prices; providing direct monthly payments through the Child Tax Credit to the families of 60 million children; replacing lead pipes that poison our drinking water; lowering the cost of childcare; providing free pre-k education for 3- and 4-year olds and free community college; investing in housing, nutrition, and so much more!
Will you rush a contribution to the Congressional Progressive Caucus today to show progressives in the House that you have our backs as we oppose a vote on the narrow infrastructure deal without a vote on our full Build Back Better agenda? Rush a contribution today!

Together, we’re showing the power of our movement and reminding Washington politicians that when the rich and corporations start paying their fair share of taxes, we can invest in people, climate action, and our future.
In solidarity,
Rashida
