John,
After a week full of great presentations from environmental groups across the state, numerous conversations, and great community events, we’re wrapping up Utah Climate Week! It’s been a reminder of just how engaged Utahns are, how many dedicated groups are lending their expertise to the cause, and the work there is to do to address climate change here at home.
What makes o2 Utah different from others in the Utah environmental world is our ability to be directly involved in the election process to assist candidates who believe in taking bold action for our air and our climate.
Other groups are experts at educating the public, have long legacies of working on climate policy or have the deep networks to fill a room for a legislative hearing. o2 Utah takes a unique approach that other groups don’t have the flexibility to do. We’re drafting bold air quality legislation and holding our representatives accountable; if they don’t want to do anything about air quality, we’ll work to elect someone in their place who will.
It takes resources to get the right people into office, though, and that’s why we need your support. Will you chip in $10, $25, $100, $250 or whatever you can afford today to help us build the groundwork for successful electoral involvement?
We aren’t loyal to any political party, just good climate and air quality policy. Your contribution today is a vital piece to achieving our goal of cleaning the air through enacting bold policy.
Thank you in advance for your support. It makes all the difference to us and to Utah’s climate!
Sincerely,
David Garbett
Executive Director, o2 Utah
