Hours before the Capitol was breached on January 6th, the Park Police was already overwhelmed, struggling to hold back mobs of protestors at the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Park Police recordings obtained by CREW make clear just how unprepared Park Police and other federal agencies were for the throngs of rioters who ultimately attacked the Capitol.

information about a memo, written by Joseph Maher, now on the staff of the House Select Committee, that restricted the use of open-source intelligence about “election-related threats;"
and details about the Park Police’s efforts to potentially block permits for the January 6th rally.
