As I listened to the host’s interview with the inescapable Dr. Fauci yesterday I could not help but reflect on how the pandemic has become a theatrical flat in front of which a titanic battle is being waged.  But as I thought about that I began to wonder if perhaps my analogy was wrong, that the pandemic was camouflage, disguising the battle.  But even that seems inadequate – we are in the midst of the battle, not hiding from it, but not participants either.  We are tossed about by the battle, we suffer from the battle, but...
