John
This week, we stood with working people in Washington, D.C. to send a message to Democrats at the Capitol, on highway overpasses, and at last night’s Congressional baseball game:
Our message is clear: People’s lives are not a game. You can stand with working people or you can stand with corporations and face the consequences.
Every day at the Working Families Party, we work to hold corporate Democrats accountable and elect more working families champions who will fight for our agenda — but what we’re able to accomplish depends on the generosity of grassroots supporters like you. We’re just $13,774 away from meeting our end-of-quarter goal — can you contribute $15.03 (our average contribution this quarter) or whatever you can afford to help us close this gap?
Contribute $15.03
It’s become painfully clear that corporate donors and lobbyists by default usually hold all the cards with members of Congress on Capitol Hill. But our grassroots movement is pushing hard to remind them who put them there in the first place. From accountability ad buys on television to primary challenges from strong WFP champions that can win — we’re not leaving anything off the table when it comes to making sure Democrats finally pass the jobs and care agenda we so desperately need.
We’re not compromising — not now or ever. So if you’re able to John, can you contribute $15.03, $3, or whatever you can afford toward our end-of-quarter goal right now?
In solidarity,
Team WFP
