sick and tired
---------
Last week, the Women’s Health and Protection Act (WHPA) passed the U.S. House, to preserve our access to abortion nationwide in the face of threats from state laws like Texas’ SB8. That unconstitutional and draconian law not only bans virtually all abortions at six weeks; it deputizes people to bring civil suits against anyone even assisting a person seeking an abortion.
And now, just like the Equal Rights Amendment, the fate of WHPA will hang in the balance of the United States Senate.
I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of our constitutional rights getting thwarted by Mitch McConnell, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and other senators.
I am ready to take this fight over the finish line.

Let’s make sure the filibuster no longer prevents our constitutional rights from becoming a reality.
When we join forces, we can ensure our movement is too loud, too large, and too powerful to be ignored. Together, we have to get this done in 2021.
We’ve been working to make this campaign massive. Big enough to honor nearly 100 years — four generations of feminists — marching, rallying, voting, electing, and fighting to win equality of rights for all.
Big enough to convey the message that well over 80% of the population wants equality of rights for women in the Constitution and to end sex discrimination . Congress approved the ERA, and the required 38 state legislatures have ratified it.
Please pitch in tonight with any amount you can [[link removed]] to help take this historic campaign across the finish line. Any amount will help. Here’s that link again: [link removed].
Together we will make history.
For Equality,
Ellie Smeal
