Asking for money is my least favorite part of running for office because I know you work hard for every $1, $3, or $12 in your pocket. Unfortunately, our biggest end-of-quarter deadline to date is in a matter of hours, and we’re still short of our 5,000 contribution goal. Your $12 is critical to closing the gap, bringing intentional, effective executive leadership to the governor’s office, and building a Maryland that works for ALL of us. I grew up the child of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, and I’ve seen firsthand the struggles so many families who are new to this country face just to build a better life.

If it weren’t for the support we received from our community after my dad died, my life could have turned out very different to what it is today.

I never thought I’d run for Governor, but I’m running because I love this state, and I want to see every Marylander succeed -- regardless of income, ZIP code, race, creed, or citizenship status.

I refuse to accept that workers are struggling to receive the benefits they need to get by in the middle of a pandemic because of failed executive leadership.

I can’t stand by while the richest in our state get richer and many of our kids live in poverty.

I will not accept that our public schools are some of the best in the nation -- but others struggle to provide for kids’ basic needs.

These problems are fixable, but we need an experienced leader at the executive level who can develop a plan, bring minds to the table from community organizers to business leaders, and get things done. I know we can do it, but I need your help before our biggest end-of-quarter deadline yet to realize our shared vision.

I’ve said this since I launched my campaign for Governor, but: We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to solve the problems long neglected by executive leadership in Maryland. First, we need the resources to properly fund this campaign, sustain our momentum, and WIN.
