Dear John —
On Sunday night, I joined the Brady
Campaign and San Francisco community leaders for a solemn vigil on the
Nation Day of Remembrance for Victims of Homicide. 2020 was the
deadliest year for gun violence in our country in over two decades and
2021 is on path to surpass this tragic milestone. Here in San
Francisco, we’ve seen a 35% increase in homicides and a 78% increase
in shootings. We have to do better.
Every San Franciscan has the right
to feel safe in their home and in their community. That’s why I
passed the first ban in California on untraceable ghost guns and
created San Francisco’s local gun violence restraining order to allow
family members, peers or law enforcement agencies to remove firearms
from individuals who intend to harm themselves or others.
As your Supervisor, I will never
stop working to get guns off our streets and reduce crime in our
neighborhoods. Please consider donating to my re-election campaign so
I can keep fighting for you.
Can
you donate $50, $100, $250 or $500 to my re-election campaign
today?
Thank you for your continued
support.
Warm regards,
Catherine
