Because we pooled our resources to help get out the vote, Gov. Newsom will remain in office.
But our work isn’t over -- now we have to do the same in Virginia.
Virginia has an election coming up on November 9th. Not only will voters decide who the next governor of Virginia will be, but at the same time, all 100 seats in the state’s House of Delegates are up for grabs.
So much is at stake in this election. We all know that it’s the state elected officials that make the decisions that affect our daily lives. From police budgets to education, to voting laws -- it’s all up to them -- but we hold the true power because, without us, they can’t be elected.
We have to keep our momentum from California going to Virginia. There’s no slowing down when Black lives are on the line. Let’s continue to show the far-right that we aren’t ones to be played with. Will you please contribute $5 or whatever you can to keep right-wing extremists from sabotaging our electoral process?

The Virginia election will undoubtedly provide the clearest preview of what’s to come in the 2022 midterms -- meaning we
really need to show up and let everyone know that we mean business.
Our work on the ground has already started. From recruiting volunteers to registering voters, we are doing everything in our power to ensure another successful election. A win in Virginia is going to take a lot of resources, especially since we’re taking our electoral fight for Black liberation even bigger.
The stakes keep getting higher.
This election is coming quickly, and we need to raise at least $50,000 to expedite our people-power and get to work in Virginia.
