Time and time again, Val has made a real difference — advocating for patients in the operating room and on the labor and delivery floor as a physician, and for the more than 850,000 Pennsylvanians she serves as chair of Pennsylvania's third-largest county.

Now, she’s running to bring her take-action attitude and no-BS approach to Washington to deliver for all of Pennsylvania and our country as a U.S. Senator — focusing on the issues that matter most to workers and families, like codifying Roe v. Wade, addressing climate change, raising wages, and making child care and education more affordable.

She’s taken on some serious challenges throughout her career — things like being one of few women in her line of medicine when starting out, and of course, governing through a pandemic.
