Tonight at midnight is our campaign’s first-ever FEC fundraising deadline, so we need to raise as much as we can before then. Will you chip in today before time runs out?
You might be asking what that deadline means and why it’s so important. See, after today, we have to file our first public fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission.
That means that everyone — including our opponents and the political media — will see exactly how much we’ve raised since we launched this campaign.
A strong fundraising report can show everyone that we have what it takes to win (and we do!). But if we fall short, political pundits could start writing our whole campaign off, making it that much harder for us to keep our momentum going.
Look, Morgan has traveled all across Ohio since she launched this campaign. We’ve seen how much passion there is for a different type of candidate — how much hunger there is for change.
So we know we can win this. But today we need to show everyone else that we truly do have what it takes.
