Fetal Dignity Laws: Why We Need Them  

From Family Research Council:
"There is a pressing need to pass fetal dignity laws, which affirm the dignity of the unborn and add protections for women through stricter regulation of the abortion industry. In 2010, the police raided the abortion clinic of Dr. Kermit Gosnell and discovered the remains of unborn babies in jars. In 2019, it was discovered that another abortionist, Dr. Ulrich Klopfer, had also been harboring the remains of thousands of unborn children. • States should ensure the respectful burial of unborn children killed in abortion. • Women who have miscarriages should be able to receive death certificates that provide validation and dignity to the loss of their children."

Julaine Appling, WFA president, says, "Republican leadership in Wisconsin have several times killed bills that would stop this atrocity. Fortunately, Senator André Jacque and Representative Janel Brandtjen are trying again this session with their “Human Dignity Act” bill. While no bill is perfect, this one does clearly stop the trade and use of the body parts of aborted babies and requires appropriate disposition of their bodies."

Transgender Men in Women's Sports
"You know your best is never going to be good enough." Selina Soule
 

Earlier this year, high school track star Selina Soule (photo below), a junior at Glastonbury High School, spoke out after losing a spot in the girls' track championship in Connecticut to two biological males. Soule missed her opportunity to compete in the New England regionals after finishing behind two transgender "women" in the race.
"Because we all know that males are physically stronger than females and they compete at a higher level. No one thinks it's fair. but everyone is afraid of retaliation from the media, from kids around their school, from other athletes, coaches, school administrators." said Soule. Soule missed qualifying for the 55-meter in the New England regionals by two spots. Two spots, she said, that were taken by biological boys.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is filing a Title IX complaint on behalf of Soule and other athletes suffering from similar circumstances.

Recently in world news, transgender cyclist Rachel McKinnon continued to smash women’s cycling records, the latest being a “world record” in the women’s 200m gold medal at the Masters Track Cycling World Championships (MTCWC).in Manchester, Great Britain. McKinnon beat out two women from America and Denmark, who took silver and bronze respectively behind McKinnon. McKinnon, who was born a man, also won the 2018 UCI MTCWC in Los Angeles in 2018, among other events.

“I do feel that hard-fought freedoms for women’s sports are being eroded. If we continue to let this happen, there will be men’s sports and co-ed sports, but there won’t be any women’s sports,” said Jennifer Wagner-Assali, a competitor who lost to McKinnon in the past.

US Atty General Delivers Bold Religious Freedom Speech

US Attorney General William Barr (photo, left) put the left into a veritable tailspin when he recently addressed students at Notre Dame Law School. His topic was religious freedom. He spoke about the moral decay in America and the wreckage it has caused and is continuing to cause. He discussed the “growing ascendancy of secularism and moral relativism,” and said the difference between what has happened in other times and now is “the force, fervor, and comprehensiveness of the assault on religion,” stating “[t]his is not decay; it is organized destruction.”
 
While this speech angered liberals, it should encourage Christians. AG Barr rightly notes that from the Founding Era onward, “[t]he imperative of protecting religious freedom was not just a nod in the direction of piety. It reflects the Framers’ belief that religion was [and we would add is] indispensable to sustaining our free system of government.”

Writing for Crosswalk.com, Mike Genung gives practical advice for parents when they catch their child viewing porn. Genung says first face the reality that it is highly likely your child will see porn. A proper response includes being proactive; without lecturing reminding them of the truth of and the goodness of God’s plan for human sexuality; planning ahead; not freaking out; remembering the goal of helping, guiding and walking with your kids through this; focusing on listening with questions; putting them at ease; praying with them; and making an action plan together.
 
Julaine Appling, WFA president, says, "I think these ideas are also good for churches, especially youth leaders. Churches should be equipping parents to handle this tough issue. We’d all prefer to avoid the subject altogether, but today that is a very dangerous approach since the world is literally bombarding kids with lies on this matter. Parents and churches should be kids’ best defense against the onslaught."
