Voting is the most vital thing we do as citizens. The freedom to choose our leaders and know with full confidence that those leaders were chosen in free and fair elections is a fundamental right that was hard-fought and won.

In 2016, our democratic system came under attack when Russia interfered in our elections. Make no mistake: they're planning to do it again, but this time they won't be alone.

In response to that clear and present danger, Chris helped secure $250 million in election security grants, which will allow states to replace outdated election machinery and make critical investments in cybersecurity ahead of the 2020 elections.

But there is still much more work to be done. The 2020 election cycle is ramping up and there's no question that efforts are already underway to influence the results. We must be prepared to secure our election from all threats, foreign and domestic, and ensure every American's vote is counted.
