I’m personally reaching out today to share a bit about the kind of campaign we need to run to win North Carolina and why tonight’s FEC deadline matters so much to our success.

The typical kind of Senate campaign we’ve seen in North Carolina hasn’t worked for Democrats frankly. That’s why I’ve said from day one that we have to try something different.

What I’ve learned from my previous statewide campaigns is that we really need leaders who focus on the people they serve. We must speak to the hopes and needs of every North Carolinian — particularly those who have been left behind and ignored by Washington for so long.

And in a tough race like this, we will need to build the largest grassroots movement our state has ever seen to mobilize voters everywhere. Reporting a strong number after tonight’s deadline will send a powerful message that we have what it takes to do just that.

So can you make a $3 donation to our campaign before our FEC deadline at midnight? I cannot win this race for U.S. Senate alone. It will require all of us to come together as part of this bottom-up, grassroots effort.

Look, Republicans know our campaign is one of Democrats’ prime opportunities to flip a seat and expand the Senate majority. That’s why they’re already funneling so much money into this race.

But I have faith that, with your help, we’ll be ready for whatever they throw our way. They are no match for what we can achieve together.
