Dear Friend,
There’s a lot riding on the actions of the U.S. House and Senate right now. That’s why we need to contact our Representatives and Senators and urge them to do the right thing-- the best thing they can do for everyday Marylanders and Americans is to support the Build Back Better plan--the budget deal that will expand Medicare, reduce prescription drug prices, invest in community healthcare, child care, housing, and good green jobs. The folks we elected to office must hold the line and not cave to the lobbying efforts by PhRMA, the insurance industry and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Corporations and their ultra rich CEOs and stockholders should not be the ones calling the shots when it comes to deciding what workers, families, and our communities need.
Let’s make sure our voices are heard!

Please take a moment now to click the link and send your email. The Build Back Better measures couldn’t come at a more critical time as our country continues to try and respond to and recover from the pandemic.
Thank you for taking action!

P.s. As part of our fight against the corporate push to sabotage our future, we just released a new report published by People’s Action and Demos, “ Behind the Curtain: The Corporate Plot to Upend Democracy [[link removed]] .” It shows that the programs in the progressive budget plan are very popular. And it exposes what corporate lobbyists and their big money patrons are trying to do to undermine this agenda and sabotage our democracy. Please contact your elected officials [[link removed]]
