What do you think of when you picture a farm? Do you see blue skies, green fields, red barns, and happy animals? Are there cows munching on grass, pigs rolling in mud, and chickens running around the farmer's yard?

The truth is shockingly different. And for billions of animals, the abuse is non-stop. Because our food system relies on industrial agriculture, cows, pigs, and chickens endure immense suffering on factory farms, where they’re crowded together, often by the thousands.

Cow in a field on the left; Cow in a factory farm shed on the right

Cows naturally live to be 15 or even 20 years old. But dairy cows, who are continuously impregnated so they’ll keep giving milk, are often killed before they turn five.

Mother pig and piglets in a field on the left; Mother pig confined to a crate barely larger than her body with piglets trying to suckle on the right

Pigs are smart, social animals who love to forage for food and build their own nests. But mother pigs on factory farms live out their days in solitary cages, confined to a space barely larger than their own bodies.

Chicken outside on the left; Chicken in wire cage on the right

Chickens make great mothers, caring for their eggs until they hatch and protecting their chicks from danger. But egg-laying hens, trapped in cruel cages where they can’t even spread their wings, never get to meet their babies.

Factory farms are nothing like the storybooks and songs say they are. The animals trapped in these filthy, overcrowded sheds face terrible abuse, day in and day out. Which is why they need your help.

Saturday is World Farm Animals Day. And right now, all donations—up to $50,000—are being matched! Will you join us and take a stand for animals?

Together, we’re building a future where no calf, piglet, or chick is born into a life of misery.

DONATE NOW

If you can, please give by midnight on Saturday to make your donation go twice as far.

Thank you,
