You’ve been hearing a lot from my team recently about tonight’s FEC deadline, but I wanted to make sure you had a chance to hear from me one more time before midnight. Can I have a minute to explain?

Here’s the truth:

Republicans are just one seat away from control of the Senate. That means if we lose here in Illinois, we could end up with Mitch McConnell in charge again.

Obviously that is the worst case scenario, so my team and I are working around the clock to make sure that doesn’t happen. To top it off, our FEC deadline hits at midnight and when it’s over, we are legally required to report our numbers publicly. So it’s important we come out of this looking strong.

All of this means that I have to ask:

Will you rush a $5 contribution before tonight’s midnight FEC deadline? Every donation we receive before midnight will help us demonstrate the grassroots strength of this campaign when our report goes public.

These deadlines are a good opportunity for us to show our opponents that nothing can stop us as we prepare to hold this seat in 2022.

Because I’m never backing down, and I know this team won’t either.
