One of the most ridiculous things about the Republican recall was always that Governor Newsom had a re-election campaign right around the corner.

So we beat this recall — soundly — and now we have to jump right into another election.

Unfortunately, this time the far-right will be more prepared. They probably learned a lot of lessons, they have identified a lot more donors, and we have to be ready.

Tonight we have a quarterly fundraising deadline for Gavin Newsom’s re-election and some modest fundraising goals we need to reach before it ends.

We’re hoping to show the grassroots enthusiasm to keep California blue is still there. Because that will send a strong message that if the far-right tries again, they’ll suffer the same fate.

So please:

We are humbly asking if you can make a contribution before our midnight fundraising deadline comes to a close. It’s important we put up a good number.
