Even in the face of a potential government shutdown, Democratic Attorneys General are hard at work on your behalf
Friend,
It’s been a wild week in Washington. ICYMI, Republicans are threatening to shut down the government and tank the global economy by allowing us to default on our debts.
These fights in Congress are taking valuable time and resources away from so many other issues, and there simply isn’t time to waste.
Congress may be scrambling right now, but we can’t let them distract us from our work:
We are almost a month away from a highly contested Attorney General race in Virginia, and we can’t afford to lose another AG spot to a right-wing Trump supporter.
Republican Jason Miyares has voted against common sense reforms on every issue from gun control, to health care, to reforming our broken justice system. And just yesterday, Trump’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, joined right-wing Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio in supporting Miyares.
Right now, Democratic AG Mark Herring needs all the help we can get him.
There’s a lot going on in our nation’s capital, but we can’t afford to lose focus right now – the stakes are too high.
Republicans spent the month of September pushing anti-mask mandate legislation and extreme anti-choice laws, and now they’re laying the groundwork for an electoral crisis in 2022.
Democratic AGs are pushing back in the courts and in the streets. They’re our strongest line of defense against this extremist agenda, and we need them now more than ever.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
