If you're like me, you're probably getting a ton of emails from campaigns all over the country right now. I don't doubt the urgency of those campaigns, but I wanted to explain why Michigan needs your help.

Since Donald Trump won in 2016, Michigan has been a critical battleground for Democratic victories across our country.

Because Michigan stood with Gary Peters and me, Democrats now hold a majority in the U.S. Senate. Because Michigan helped Haley Stevens and Elissa Slotkin flip seats from red to blue, Democrats have a majority in the U.S. House. Because Michigan turned out in historic numbers, Joe Biden won, and Donald Trump was a one-term President.

And because Michigan stood with Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and Attorney General, we've had strong leadership during some of the most challenging times in recent memory.

Friend, right now, everything we've fought for in Michigan is under attack. Michigan Republicans are working overtime to take away our freedom to vote. That means we have to work twice as hard to make sure Michigan Democrats win up and down the ticket in 2022.
