Friend,
My husband Brian Mast was blown up by a bomb while serving in Afghanistan in September of 2010. He lost both legs and a finger, and it is only thanks to the quick action of his fellow soldiers and the grace of God that he is still alive today.
When I first saw him lying in a hospital bed, it was a jarring experience. But even before he could speak again, I could see in his eyes that he wouldn’t let the best service he gave our nation be behind him. From the first moment he was back on U.S. soil, he was looking for a new way to serve our country.
