Thank you for your past contribution to AIPAC and the U.S.-Israel relationship. We're reaching out because AIPAC’s fiscal year ends tomorrow at midnight.
Our work is all the more essential as the threats facing Israel continue to mount. Over the past year alone:
4,300 rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza. Most of the attacks occurred over just 10 days this May. Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar said the goal was “to attack the Israeli targets at very important points, including most of the overcrowded area in the civilian society.”
22 rockets were fired at Israel from Lebanon. These new rocket attacks occurred just last month. A Lebanese citizen filmed Hezbollah terrorists launching the rockets from his neighborhood, right next to people's homes, using him and others as human shields.
Iran began enriching uranium to 60%, its latest nuclear escalation and the highest-ever purity reached by the regime. Iran also attacked four Israeli-linked vessels in international waters, including an attempted hijacking and missile strike.
And in just the past two weeks:
Iranian-backed terrorists in Gaza launched multiple rockets at Israel, aiming to kill and injure Israeli civilians.
A Palestinian man stabbed two Israeli students at a bus station in Jerusalem just hours after a separate stabbing attack was prevented. Hamas praised the attacks and called for increased violence against Israelis.
A small but vocal minority in Congress attempted to block funding for Iron Dome, the purely defensive system that allows Israel to shoot down terrorist rockets before they can strike Israeli communities.
By working with AIPAC, you can help ensure the United States and Israel stand together in the face of these threats―and any that could emerge in the future.
Together, we will work to keep the U.S.-Israel alliance strong.
Together, we will ensure the United States continues to support Israel with the critical funding needed to keep its citizens safe.
Together, we will work to advance 21st century partnerships between the United States and Israel, in critical areas like cyber-security, renewable energy, water sustainability, agriculture and more.
