Wanted to quickly check in. With everything moving quickly in Congress right now, I haven’t had as much time to think about fundraising.

So many members are forced to endure countless hours of call time, but I’ve been able to cut back on that and focus my time on delivering for our district because of supporters like you.

But this upcoming deadline is a big one. Next year are the midterm elections, and Republicans like their chances of winning districts all over the country. You know me. I take nothing for granted and prepare in advance. I have to release my campaign fundraising totals at the end of the quarter and franky, they aren’t what I want them to be.

Unfortunately, reporting on quarterly fundraising numbers has turned into a proxy for how prepared you are for the midterms, and because I’m one of the few that doesn’t take corporate donations, I rely on people like you to support my re-election campaign.
