Another outside spending group has launched an ad campaign targeting Abigail. They know how close her races were in 2018 and 2020, so they’re spending money early in this race to try to turn the tide in 2022 and flip this seat.

We need to stand up to these outside groups and show them that the Spanberger campaign is stronger than ever. The FEC end-of-quarter deadline is tomorrow, and we need to release fundraising figures that project our strength.

Last election cycle, outside groups spent over $15,000,000 — yes, $15 million — in Virginia’s 7th District. The fact that multiple ad campaigns target Abigail over a year before the 2022 election suggests that spending this cycle might be even higher.
