For 53 years NOW has stood alongside generations of feminists to defend and expand our rights and together we’ve made great progress in pursuit of feminist ideals and societal change.

With Trump in the Oval Office and conservative judges like Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, our rights are threatened like never before—but there is hope!

The new generation of feminists in the movement are extraordinary. They understand that women’s rights issues are intersectional. They know that we are strongest when our movement is inclusive. And they are full of innovative ideas on how we can break through the patriarchy and institutions that stand in the way of true equality.

We spoke with young NOW members from across the country to learn more about their feminist agendas:

“Basic human rights are the most important thing. I want to focus on working on trauma, sexual assault and immigration especially because I am an immigrant and I was born in Colombia.”
