John, I'm writing to ask for your help hitting Brady's critical end-of-quarter fundraising goal — but I'm not just asking for them. No matter how much I wish it weren't, this goal is deeply personal for me and for so many other survivors of gun violence. 

In February 2018, my daughter, Jaime, was hunted through the halls of her own school by a gunman armed with a military-style assault weapon. She was only 14 when she was murdered in the Parkland massacre. And every day since, I have fought like hell to keep other parents from having to feel the loss that I do. 

Jaime was a cost of doing business for the gun lobby, but what I never expected was that I'd have to fight against my own representatives in Congress. The NRA's pockets are so deep — and the politicians tucked into those pockets are so spineless — that people like Mitch McConnell will do anything the gun lobby tells them, even if it means more people like my Jaime have to die. 

The people at Brady know exactly what it's like to have to fight these bloody-handed politicians and gun-lobby stooges. They're in this fight right next to me, working every single day to help pass the gun safety laws that we know can save lives. So when I say helping Brady hit their end-of-quarter goal is personal to me, I mean it with everything I've got. 

But right now, Brady is still dangerously short of their goal — all while the NRA is gearing up to spend $2 MILLION to stop our gun safety agenda. It's up to us to be the grassroots surge that gets Brady over the top before this huge official deadline, but time is running out. As a grassroots organization, they rely on donations from people like you. How much they raise today will determine how much they can do tomorrow.

I'm asking personally — and urgently — John: Will you rush $5 or more, as much as you can, to hit Brady's $50,000 goal before their CRITICAL end-of-quarter deadline? This is how we make sure no other family has to feel the pain I have felt — how we pass urgent legislation, defeat the NRA, and save lives. But you have to donate NOW:
