Friends, I’ll be honest — I’m mad as hell about Texas’s new restrictions on abortion.
But I’m planning to translate my anger into action by joining a Women’s March event this Saturday, October 2, and I’d love for you to come, too.
Women’s March will hold events in support of reproductive freedoms all across the country, so you can join from nearly anywhere.
We are already seeing disastrous repercussions from Texas’s new law.
Just last week, Alan Braid, a doctor in San Antonio, was sued by a private citizen — who doesn’t even live in Texas, and has no connection to the doctor or his patients — for performing an abortion after the legislation was passed.
A ruling against Braid could empower more individuals to harass abortion doctors and their patients under the guise of following the law.
We need to fight back against this draconian legislation — so I’m excited to be joining the march in Westchester this Saturday. Click here to find a Women’s March event near you, or sign up to host one.
I will not give up the fight to protect reproductive rights and to codify Roe v. Wade. Thank you for joining me.
