Hi Friend, did you hear the news from last night?
Despite Republicans’ continued attacks on our right to vote, last night, we overcame all the obstacles. We succeeded in sending a Democrat to the runoff election for House District 118 -- a critical seat representing San Antonio in the Texas House.
I’m incredibly proud of Frank Ramirez for making it through to the runoff and becoming our Democratic nominee, and I’m so grateful to our other two Democratic candidates, Katie Farias and Desi Martinez, for stepping forward to fight for Texans. And Friend, whether you made calls, made grassroots donations, or cast your ballot in this election, thank you for being one of our most stalwart supporters in fights like this one.
Please consider making this a monthly contribution. If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Greg Abbott named the date of this election, he made the rules, and he still couldn’t get the job done. This happened for one reason: because no matter the odds Texas Republicans stack against us, our communities will not be silenced.
We can’t waste a minute in mobilizing San Antonians to make their voices heard again. Democrats in the Texas House are fighting harder than ever to save our state from Republicans -- but we can’t afford to lose a single seat. Thank you for showing up to help this scrappy team do the impossible again.
Adelante,
Gilberto Hinojosa
