In the moments before casting his vote supporting Ohio’s gerrymandered state legislative maps, Republican Governor Mike DeWine publicly questioned the constitutionality of the maps.
So the question is -- are Ohio’s new legislative maps unconstitutional?
As Mike said, that’s for a court to decide. That’s why the National Redistricting Action Fund (NRAF) -- which AOTL is proud to be a part of -- is helping voters in Ohio officially challenge these maps before the Ohio Supreme Court.
Accountability doesn’t stop when a map is passed or signed -- if it’s an unfair map, voters can challenge map manipulators to defend it in court. The fight isn’t over until every option has been exhausted.
