The gerrymandered districts released by Republicans in the Texas legislature yesterday will reduce Black and Hispanic majority Congressional districts.
Despite the fact that people of color are fueling population growth in our state, they're being denied a seat at the table so Republicans can cement and expand their majority.

A proposed map for Texas Congressional districts has been released. Once again, Republicans are stretching the law and geography to maintain and expand their hold on power.
It’s deeply undemocratic and it must be stopped.
Here’s some basic math that helps explain the newly drawn maps: In 2020, the presidential vote in Texas was a narrow Republican victory -- 52% for Donald Trump, and 46% for Joe Biden.
The proposed GOP Texas Congressional map gives them a 66% - 34% Republican advantage according to experts.
Put simply, this map is designed to serve incumbent Republicans, not Texas voters.
We need to fight back, so we’re setting an end-of-month fundraising goal of raising $5,000 before midnight on September 30th. Can you donate $20 or more to help us reach it?

Texas Republicans are using the redistricting process to shield themselves from the growing number of Texans who oppose their anti-science, anti-women, anti-kid agenda.
They know they can’t win on the merits because Texans oppose these policies. So they’re cheating to pick their voters instead of letting the voters pick their representatives.
