Yesterday, Facebook-founder Mark Zuckerberg testified on Capitol Hill about Facebook’s negligence when it comes to bad company policies and dangerously false advertisements.

Well, Representative Katie Porter didn’t hold back.

She grilled Zuckerberg on how Facebook’s public policies don’t align with their behavior. If someone’s data is stolen, Facebook doesn’t think they’re responsible for it.

Katie: “In other words, no harm, no foul. Facebook messed up, but it doesn’t matter. Is that your position?”

She pointed out how content monitoring employees are forced to watch gruesome videos of “murders, stabbings, and suicide” but don’t receive healthcare benefits that would treat PTSD as a result of these videos.

Katie: “[Would you be] willing to commit to spending one hour a day for a year [doing their job]?”

Mark Zuckerberg said no.

It’s clear we need to keep Katie in Congress to fight back against the rich and powerful and stick up for everyday Americans. But she’s one of the most vulnerable members of Congress and the GOP is spending big bucks to flip her seat red in 2020.

This isn’t the first time Katie has held those who have misused and abused their power accountable. Early this year, she basically taught Secretary of Housing Ben Carson how to do his job:

Katie: “[Can you] explain the disparity in REOs rates? Do you know what an REO is?”

Ben Carson: “An oreo?”

Yup. He said that. She also grilled a billionaire CEO at JP Morgan over their gross pay disparity between low-level employees and upper management:

Katie shared the story of a Californian woman who works full time at JPMorgan Chase. She makes $2,425 every month. She shares a one-bedroom apartment with her daughter for $1,600/month. After the woman spends about $100 on utilities, $400 on a low-level food budget, more on basic necessities like a cell phone and child care, she is $567 in the red.

Katie: "How should she manage this budget shortfall while she's working full-time at your bank?"

Billionaire CEO: "I don't know."

Yikes.

Katie is one of the fiercest progressives in Congress and we need her voice to fight back against the corporate hacks and wealthy special interests. That’s why we’re asking:
