Oppose the largest nuclear-armed military alliance

In December, NATO will mark its 70th anniversary with a Heads of State Summit in London. Donald Trump, Boris Johnson and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend this gathering of the world’s largest nuclear-armed military alliance.

It’s vital that the peace and anti-war movements are mobilised to demand an end to what John Pilger dubs an ‘American invention designed to impose American power on Europe.'

Britain's membership of NATO is rarely discussed in the public arena. Many politicians talk like it's an obviously good thing - some even cling to the bogus notion that NATO represents a high-point of international cooperation.

National demonstration and conference

The NATO summit therefore presents a major opportunity for the peace movement to stimulate a serious public discussion about a military alliance that continues to pose a great danger to the world - and to present alternatives.

CND is working with British and international partners to coordinate protests in London. We're also co-hosting an anti-NATO summit with Stop the War and the No to War - No to NATO network. We hope you will help us mobilise for both of these important events.
