Hi John,
I’m Ralph Northam — the 73rd Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, husband, father, veteran, and fighter for Virginia’s values.
And I’m personally coming to you today, just over a month before Election Day, to talk to you about the stakes of this race.
But before I get into it, I’m going to ask you to chip in $3 toward my friend Hala Ayala’s Democratic campaign for Lt. Governor. With less than 2 days until the last fundraising deadline before November’s election, we need to do all we can to support our Democratic ticket! Help Hala reach her $20,000 end‑of‑quarter goal now. »
John, we must elect Hala as Virginia’s Lt. Governor, and here’s why:
Our Commonwealth is facing an unprecedented threat from extreme Republican forces. They are targeting voting rights, abortion care, accessible health care, and so much more in a despicable effort to dismantle the historic work of our Democratic majority.
And I know Hala is perfect for the job. As a leader in the House of Delegates, she has overseen Medicare expansion to over 400,000 Virginians, passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, raises to teacher pay, and expansion of background checks to protect us all.
Hala is battle‑tested and ready to fight for all Virginians — her personal story is a Virginia story. I’m proud to call her a friend.
With all this in mind, John, we must support Hala as she enters the most consequential part of her campaign. If we fail to elect her as Lt. Governor, our Democratic majority will crumble.
I know Virginians will be in the best of hands with Hala as Lt. Governor. So I’m personally asking you to chip in $3 or whatever amount you can give to elect Hala as our first woman Lt. Governor — can I count on your donation today, John? Hala needs to hit this last $20,000 end‑of‑quarter goal in these next two days. »
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for reading this long email, John. Join me in supporting Hala Ayala today!
