John,

Tomorrow isn’t just our campaign’s first (and critical) FEC fundraising deadline: it’s also the deadline for Congress to pass legislation for more government funding and a higher debt ceiling, or risk a shutdown.

But does Ryan Zinke care about what’s at stake? He used Twitter to tell lawmakers to vote “NO” on this and President Biden’s historical infrastructure bill, seemingly pushing for a shutdown of government services:

Once again, our Republican opponent and Trump’s former Interior Secretary proves why he doesn’t deserve to represent Montanans in Congress.

The infrastructure bill will create millions of jobs and help bring things like our public transit system into the 21st century. And the spending bills are necessary to prevent key government services from running out of money and shutting down in just a few short weeks.

A real leader would work for bipartisan compromise to avert a shutdown that will hurt millions of people. Zinke just proved that isn’t him.

It’s all the more reason we need to reach our end-of-quarter fundraising goal, so we can make Laurie the Democratic nominee to beat Zinke next year and fight for Montanans’ best interests in Congress.

Will you rush $5 or more before we have to file our fundraising numbers with the FEC tomorrow? The deadline is midnight eastern time, so we’re counting on grassroots supporters like you to help us pull through before then!

Thanks for anything you can do to show Laurie your support in this critical House race,

Team Bishop
