Last week, we wrote to you about how the Senate Parliamentarian — an unelected advisor to the U.S. Senate — decreed that Congress cannot include a pathway to citizenship in Congress’s $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill. And we said that it wouldn’t stop us.

Earlier this week, we shared with you the horrific news of the inhumane treatment of Haitian asylum-seekers at our southern border. And we said that we wouldn’t tolerate it.

NILC is committed to ending the horrifying abuse of migrants who seek to make a safer life in the United States.

We are demanding a pathway to U.S. citizenship — no matter how difficult the fight will be. Our communities deserve no less. And we cannot and will not let technicalities or abusive “enforcement” win the day.  

We cannot allow abuses to stand. We can't squander a once-in-a-generation opportunity to secure a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. We must press ahead and keep up the fight. Please give today.
