I’m reaching out with an update and an ask of you before tomorrow’s official FEC deadline. We just crunched the numbers, and we are still a bit short of our fundraising goal.

Hitting this goal will put us in a strong position heading into the fall. Right after this deadline, we’re going to have a budget meeting where we need to make some important spending decisions.

We know early investments are key, so how much we are able to invest now could be what makes the difference in this race next November.

As someone who has worked on a number of statewide races in North Carolina, I can tell you firsthand how much early grassroots fundraising matters. I’ve been on the other side of Republican super PACs outspending Democrats in North Carolina, but when supporters like you had our back, we’ve won.

I know we've emailed you a lot heading into this deadline, but I hope that tells you just how important it is that we post a strong number and have the resources to fight back against Republicans’ outside spending.
