Next Saturday, Nov. 2, The Poynter Institute will host our annual fundraising gala — the Bowtie Ball. Our team has been hard at work producing a delightful celebration of journalism. The evening promises excellent company, good food and drink, first amendment fanfare and interesting conversation — all among the elegant backdrop of the historic Vinoy waterfront resort in downtown St. Petersburg.

This week we were able to add a few additional tables to the Vinoy ballroom so that more of our supporters can join the celebration! Click here to purchase VIP or general admission tickets.

The nonprofit Poynter Institute elevates journalism across the country and around the world — for those who create and consume the news and information we need to make important decisions for our families and communities. Through your generous support, we will train more journalists, expand our fact-checking and media literacy initiatives and promote journalism ethics and excellence.
