Friend – Last week, I helped pass a bill that protects a woman's right to choose and I hosted a town hall with FEMA so my community can recover faster from Hurricane Ida. This work is important to me.

But I can't do it alone – your support helps us lay the groundwork for a victory in 2022 so that I can continue this critical work to build back better for you and your family. That's why it's so critical we hit every fundraising goal between now and the election. Here's why hitting this goal is so important:

What we're up against: The GOP only needs to flip five seats to flip the House red – and Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight has reported that they're favored to do just that. To make things worse, the GOP has named me one of their top targets – I'm in a battleground district, after all. And they’ve already run their first attack ad against me.

What it's led to: Two self-funded opponents have entered the race to defeat me, and they’ve already written their campaigns massive checks to buy this seat. We can fight back, defend this seat, and spread our vision of progress – but my finance team says it'll take another $4,012 by midnight to stay on track to hit our end-of-quarter goal. 

What you can do: Simply put, we need you, friend. We need grassroots supporters to rally together to help us keep up our momentum and fight back against Republican attacks by spreading our positive message.

While my two self-funded opponents jointly pour hundreds of thousands of dollars into their campaigns to flip this seat red, I'm counting on lots of people to make donations of $5, $25, or $50 to get us to our critical end-of-quarter goal before the FEC deadline. 

So please, Friend, will you chip in $5 or more now to defend this battleground seat, our Democratic House majority, and the future of this country from conspiracy-pedaling, extremist Republicans?
