You, as an EDF supporter, have a reputation at the Environmental
Protection Agency -- for your steadfast conviction in standing up
for the earth.
And it's inspiring. Because unlike the Trump Administration, the
people who work inside the EPA aren't there for political ambitions.
They're not there to dismantle the agency from the inside. They are
there because they wanted to dedicate their careers to protecting our
health and safety. And at this moment, they're watching the
wellbeing of the American people be used as a political pawn.
But they're not in this fight alone. Thank EPA employees today,
and tell them that you will continue to stand up for clean air, safe
water, and climate action -- no matter what.

EPA employees know that when our bedrock protections for clean air and
safe water are under attack, EDF members will, without fail, rise up
and speak out against injustice. Whether it be flooding the EPA with
hundreds of thousands of emails, inundating their office with phone
calls, or writing letters to the editors of their local newspapers
-- EDF supporters like you consistently and boldly fight back
against assaults on our planet and public health.
Recently, an EPA staffer -- who we won't name, for their
protection -- approached an EDF staffer at an event and confessed
that morale inside the agency is terrible, but that news and alerts
from EDF are giving workers at the agency a lifeline. As EPA employees
watch the protections they spent decades of their careers building be
unraveled, they are looking to you - an EDF supporter --
for rays of hope. So they can carry on and continue to do good work.
Take a moment to thank the unsung heroes working hard, in every
political climate, to protect us, our families, and our communities
-- and to say that you're behind them every step of the
way.
