Hello good people, I’m reaching out to ask you for a favor and to share a bit about myself.

But before I do, I want you to know that grassroots donors are the lifeblood of Democratic campaigns like mine. I have an important end of quarter goal coming up, and I’m just a few thousand away from reaching it. Would you consider chipping in $3 by midnight to help me reach my goal? »

Here’s what I want you to know:

First, I ran for Iowa Secretary of State in 2018, and while losing by only a few points was upsetting, what has been even harder is seeing the folks of Iowa facing such heavy challenges the past few years.

Second, I believe that while we face these challenges, it’s important to see the good.

I’ve seen communities come together and support each other through a global pandemic. I’ve seen Iowa small businesses become innovative and successful in the face of adversity. It fills my heart with hope.

Third, I believe that overcoming these challenges together gives us an opportunity to create a stronger Iowa. That’s why I’m running for Governor of Iowa. Not to take up space, but to truly serve my Iowan community.
