Hello Colorado Republicans -

It's been great to visit with fellow Republicans in Douglas, Arapahoe, and Huerfano counties this week. Today, we also had District Attorney John Keller speak about public safety and rising crime in Colorado -- and how the Democrats are causing this -- at our Capitol Club Luncheon in Englewood.

It's clear that one party control in our state is damaging our safety, our jobs, and our families. We have to continue to share pro-active solutions for a better future. (https://commitment2colorado.com) If you are able to call or walk for our school board and other local candidates in the next couple weeks before ballots drop, please let us know. These races are vital, and we can let you know who the Republican candidates are in your area...and then we need you to tell others!

Michael Bennet, Jared Polis, and Joe Biden continue to sink in the polls, as Coloradans are confused by their failure to lead. Voters in our state don't approve of politicians who occupy a position but don't work for the people. Republicans can show that we are problem solvers who people can trust to bring transparency and accountability back to government.

Speaking of accountability, I'm proud of our Republican County Clerks who are looking into ways they can bring more transparency to our elections. Multiple Republican clerks -- including those in El Paso and Elbert counties -- conducted hand counts, used ClearAudit, or made ballot images available to the public for free after the 2020 election. Many of our clerks are leading the way in following the law and building back trust in our elections. In order to fully bring back accountability to government, we need to vote out partisan hacks like Democrat Secretary of State Jena Griswold. Let's focus our attention on making sure she is out of a job in 2022!

Thanks for your work -- and financial support -- that benefits our candidates!

Colorado's violent crime rate hits 25-year high

Axios: By the numbers: The rate of violent criminal offenses — including murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault — per 100,000 Coloradans increased by 10% between 2019 and 2020, the highest it's been since 1990, an Axios Denver analysis found.
  • Homicide rates in Colorado rose by 28% between 2019 and 2020, though levels remain below national figures.
  • The rate of property crimes last year jumped by 8% compared with 2019, dwarfing U.S. rates, which fell for the 18th consecutive year.
