While she praised Donald Trump for "helping Iowans" -- local communities didn't have the tools to fight the COVID-19 pandemic -- kids are getting sick at higher rates than ever, workers in large meat-processing plants worked in unsafe conditions, and small businesses were shuttered.

It doesn't have to be this way.

On the other hand, you have Ras Smith.

Ras knows that getting us out of this pandemic and our economic recovery go hand in hand.

He knows what's best for our kids is what's best for our state. Local communities should have the tools to make sure kids stay healthy and safe in school.

Iowa used to have the best public schools in the nation, but Reynolds and the GOP starved them of resources. We can get our public schools back to being #1, but we need the right leader to get us there.
