I just got out of a meeting, and I wanted to give you a quick update:

My finance director Kierra works really hard to keep us on track to where we need to be every month and every quarter to win this campaign. And I know it’s not the easiest job in the world, she’s a real rockstar.

Sometimes, Kierra has to break tough news to me about how much we have left to raise and what it’s going to take for us to get there. And that’s what today’s meeting was about.

We have a really important end-of-quarter deadline on Thursday, probably one of the most important ones of my entire career, and so we set a big goal. Over the last week, we’ve made progress and have gotten to under $20,000 left to raise. However, the deadline is only 3 days away and since I refuse corporate PAC money, I solely rely on the generosity of grassroots supporters like you.

I need your support because two GOP attack groups just launched $184k worth of ads in my district and the first poll of our race showed us down 7 points against a Republican opponent. This fundraising deadline is our chance to show we're not backing down from a tough fight.
