As summer turns to fall, I'm reflecting on a summer defined by Republican inaction on the issues that matter most -- and harmful Republican actions that attack our most basic rights.

On one hand, we watched historic flooding and unrelenting wildfires consume much of our country, all while falling dangerously behind on the climate goals we set in the Paris Agreement. Republicans don't just refuse to act -- they still refuse to accept the science of climate change.

And on the other hand, Republicans are putting their extreme, immoral agenda ahead of science, democracy, and our basic rights: gutting reproductive rights, voting rights, and the rights of communities to keep children safe with school mask mandates.

It couldn't be more clear that right now our country demands bold, progressive change -- like we're pursuing every day in Washington state. But to continue this fight, I need your support, Friend.

Every day this summer we watched as conservative leaders across America, in places like Texas and Georgia, stripped away our most fundamental rights. Their actions have made it critical that we double down and preserve progressive values in our state and at the national level. Together we must stand up and resist the extremist Republican agenda.
