$15.20.
That’s our average contribution this quarter — a people-powered number we’re proud to share with you, team.
Of course, that doesn’t mean everyone donates that exact amount. Some people give $5, others give $50, and so on. But what an average contribution like $15.20 shows is that we’re counting on folks like you to power our work, one small-dollar donation at a time.
Not all of Ilhan’s colleagues can say the same. Many Republicans and some Democrats would rather take the easy route and accept high-dollar donations from corporate PACs ready to block our progressive agenda. While we’re reaching out to you ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline, the political establishment is likely calling up corporate lobbyists to close their fundraising gaps.
But Ilhan works for you, not corporate PACs. That’s because she knows what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck and struggle to pay off student loan debt. She’s ready to deliver big on the Build Back Better agenda and beyond — from expanding Medicare, to making community college free, to creating millions of green jobs — because she believes first and foremost in putting people over profit and building an America that works for everyone.
That’s why we’re reaching out today. We’re still $10,291 short of our $100,000 end-of-quarter goal, and it’s crucial to stay on track so Ilhan can continue her work for progress and our campaign can keep up our organizing work to elect strong progressives up and down the ballot.
Will you chip in any amount that works for you before our end-of-quarter deadline expires tomorrow? We’ll put every single grassroots donation to work right away.
