On National Voter Registration Day, organizers and activists across the country are coming together to encourage every eligible person to register to vote [[link removed]] and cast a ballot in the next election.

Here in California, we know that democracy thrives when voters make their voice heard. That’s why California Democratic Leaders have taken bold action to expand the franchise and ensure access to the ballot box in our state.

Just yesterday, Governor Newsom signed legislation to make California a permanently vote-by-mail state, reform our campaign finance system, and so much more.

Unfortunately, while Democratic leaders are taking action to increase voter participation, Republican Legislatures across the country are pursuing a relentless agenda of voter suppression and intimidation.


Republicans know that their policies are so unpopular that the only way they can win is by undermining our democracy and keeping people from voting. We have to stop them.
